New kid in town

Hello all. Name's Jake. Age 18, been a fan of Mike Campbell and his work with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers for 5 years now, and aware of MC's work with The Eagles' Don Henley. I live near New Orleans (yeah, I'll probably never get to see the Dirty Knobs), the same city Mike's Heartbreaker bandmate Benmont Tench went to college for a year at.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are probably my favorite band. I have all the albums, and the only two available biography books on Tom Petty. I have a good idea of some of the instruments, pedals and amps Mike uses, so if anyone wants any information, I can give it to you.

Hoping to enjoy my time here and find out where to see Mike!

Don't give up on seeing The Knobs... At least a few gigs a year are announced well in advance, so if you had some cash saved up, it'd be fairly easy to find a cheap flight a few months ahead of time. You've got to see them at least once! :)
