Typically I only use them after oral surgery etc. The thing is that the dentists are so freaked out over prescribing drugs these days that what they do prescribe is less effective than other over the counter remedies like a couple of shots of tequila.
On the other hand, decades ago when I had four impacted wisdom teeth pulled at the same time, the dentist gave me something so strong that I went out and played video games at the mall afterwards - until someone pointed out that I was bleeding onto the machine.
I got back home and threw out the rest of those pills.
Still don't know what those pills were but they were mighty strong.

What do you do for a pain in the butt web site?...lol I have to be near death to use prescription painkillers. Most of them make me feel too spacey.
I try not to take too much of the over-the-counter stuff because they can cause liver problems.

I use them as needed. I'm like you Ames, some make me feel too weird. Even a half of one, lol. I'm such a lightweight. :tongueout:
